What we collect

When you fill in the contact form, we collect your name, email address, a link to your CV or LinkedIn, your preferred domain, and any notes you've written. Nothing else.

If you become a paying customer, we also collect your billing details via Stripe (we don't see your card numbers; Stripe handles that), and any content you send us for your site (text, photos, links).

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or ad pixels. Our site is plain HTML.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry and build your site. That is the entire reason. We don't sell, share, or rent your data to anyone for any purpose.

Terms of Service

Last updated 19 May 2026.

By using Proper CVs to build your personal website, you agree to these terms.

Who we are

Proper CVs is a sub-brand of Proper Good Sites, a UK web-design operation. Reach us at propergoodsites@outlook.com.

What we deliver

A clean, one-page personal website at your own name domain, built within five working days of your written go-ahead. This includes:

What it costs

Pricing is on our pricing page. Currently: free mockup, £49 setup (waived for the first 5 customers), £10/month or £84/year hosting, £20 for your custom domain in year one (admin plus registration), then £10/year for renewal. Optional add-ons (photo shoot, extra pages, custom animation) are priced on the add-ons page.

The price you see is the price you pay. We don't haggle and we don't upsell.

Payment

We use Stripe to take payment. You'll get a Stripe payment link by email once you've approved your mockup. Subscription billing happens automatically each month or year as you've chosen.

The setup fee is a one-off, paid before your site goes live. Hosting is recurring with a 3-month minimum (£30 upfront on monthly), or paid annually upfront.

Your domain

We register your custom domain on your behalf via Cloudflare. The domain is registered in your name from day one. You own it. We never hold it. If you ever cancel, we transfer it to your nominated registrar at no extra cost.

IP and content ownership

You own the content you give us (text, photos, your bio). We own the underlying code template and visual design system. If you ever want the raw site files (for self-hosting), we'll hand them over for a one-off £50.

Updates and changes after launch

Two content updates per rolling year are included (job title change, refreshed photo, new project, that sort of thing). Beyond that, each update is £15 flat. Bigger changes (extra pages, redesigns, custom animations) are quoted separately.

Cancellation

Cancel anytime after the 3-month minimum. We won't charge you again. You keep your domain. Your live site is taken down within 30 days of cancellation unless you've requested files (£50).

Your 14-day consumer cooling-off

UK law gives you 14 days from purchase to cancel without reason. If you ask us to start building your site within those 14 days (which usually happens, because nobody wants to wait two weeks for their mockup), you waive your cooling-off right by that express request.

Liability

Our liability to you for any claim is capped at three months of fees you've paid us. We are not liable for any lost revenue, lost opportunities, or other indirect losses. We're a small operation; we couldn't carry that risk.

Changes to these terms

If we change anything material, we'll email all current customers 30 days before it takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute will be resolved in the English courts. If you have a complaint, email us first; we respond fast and try to put things right without bringing in lawyers.
